Governor of Maryland Martin O’Malley addressed the Arab American Institute's Yalla Vote: 2016 Leadership Summit in Dearborn, Michigan on October 22,2015.
Gov. O’Malley joined the conference not only to address Arab American voters on the issues he is committed to that impact our community, but Gov. O'Malley also requested to meet with Arab refugees who were also attending and speaking at the conference. Gov. O'Malley was the first 2016 presidential candidate to put a number on how many Syrian refugees the U.S. should resettle, and he was one of the first candidates to start calling out bigotry on the campaign trail.
