ATTN: James Zogby in Iowa This Week To Speak on U.S. Mideast Policy and the 2020 Presidential Election

On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, Arab American Institute President James Zogby will speak in Des Moines, Iowa, kicking off a two-day tour:

“Undoing the Damage We’ve Done Across the Middle East: The Current Situation, And What We Can Do About It.”

Held in collaboration with more than half a dozen local peace and justice organizations, the tour will focus on the ways the Trump administration has severely harmed efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, leading to a significant deterioration in the lives of ordinary Palestinians, contributing to regional instability, and undermining possibilities for Middle East peace. The tour will also focus on the promising signs of shifting discourse on this issue, and the significance of the 2020 election in possibly producing meaningful change in U.S. policy towards the region.
