AAI partnered with the DC chapter of the Network of Arab-American Professionals (NAAP-DC) to host our annual speed networking event in Washington, DC last night. Over sixty people joined us to grab an appetizer and get to know one another before taking part in a fast and fun speed networking loop. Arab American students, interns, and professionals - representing a variety of career fields from government, to non profits, media, and medicine - had a great time meeting new people and learning about interesting work Arab Americans are involved in.
AAI has organized several networking events as part of our focus on connecting with and engagement of Arab Americans in the Washington, D.C. area. Over the past three summers, we’ve hosted speed networking events, with the premise that a two-minute conversation followed by mingling creates professional relationships. The Arab American Generations program, which serves to bring Arab Americans together to make new friends while hearing from a prominent speaker, learning about a pertinent topic, or participating in a fun and meaningful event, had the second event of the summer last night.
