AAI and the Arab American Cultural & Community Center (ACC) will be hosting a town hall entitled “Israeli-Palestinian Peace: A U.S. Policy Imperative” tonight at 7:00pm. The event will focus on the latest political developments regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and explore what role the United States can and should play to overcome the numerous obstacles that are keeping a viable peace agreement from being achieved.

The community discussion will feature Farouk Shami and Dr. Abdel-Kader Fustok at the ACC Houston office at 10555 Stancliff Rd, Houston, TX 77099. This event is free and open to the public, but if you plan on attending I encourage you to RSVP here.

You are also welcome to join us the next day, on Saturday, October 13, for a Yalla Vote phone bank from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. AAI and ACC staff will host this volunteer event to get out the Arab American vote in Texas. Bring your phone and a laptop, and we'll provide an online phone banking tool and scripts for volunteers to call Arab Americans in Texas to encourage them to vote on Election Day. Each volunteer will receive a free Yalla Vote t-shirt. Please contact Bobby Dale at bobby@acchouston.org if you’re interested in volunteering.

If you have any questions about the event please contact me at saraabi@aaiusa.org, and media interested in covering these events should contact Omar Tewfik at (202) 652-4988.

I hope to see you there this weekend.
