New Poll: American Attitudes Post Trump

Posted by Rawan Elbaba on November 29, 2017 in Blog

A recent AAI tracking poll shows a significant positive shift accompanied by a deep partisan rift in Americans’ views of Arabs and Muslims. The poll, which includes questions on Americans’ views toward immigration, the Muslim Ban, hate crimes,...

On many questions, the views of Democrats and Republicans are exactly the opposite of one another, with Republican attitudes toward the...

Trump and Co. Deepening the Divide on Arabs and Muslims

Posted on December 21, 2015 in Washington Watch

Donald Trump and his GOP colleagues have exposed the depth of the divide in attitudes over the role of American Muslims in US society. The results of a recent Zogby poll establish that the divide is more existential than merely rhetorical, and is more demographic than simply partisan. It has become a matter less of competing political philosophies and more a question of the attitudes of the groups that now make up the mainstream of each party.   To be clear, fear of...
