For World Refugee Day, we have been posting blogs that convey the facts and data about the world refugee crisis. It is incredibly important to stay informed about these issues and to continue to show support for those in need. Here are several ways in which you can help.

  1. Get the facts about the worldwide refugee crisis.
  2. Learn more about the detrimental impact of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies in contrast to the real benefits refugees bring to our country.
  3. Know the rights guaranteed to everyone in the U.S. regardless of their immigration status.
  4. Express support for welcoming communities and sanctuary cities.
  5. Reach out to elected officials to share your support for sanctuary or welcoming policies.
  6. Use and share AAI’s advocacy road map to help build a community that supports immigrants and refugees.
  7. Help pass local resolutions that welcome refugees and immigrants in your school, community, or local board.

Most importantly, get involved with organizations that are dedicated to helping refugees:

American Red Cross

American Refugee Committee

American Relief Agency for the Horn of Africa
