Ohio Group Urges Arab Americans to Vote
WKYC NBC 3 Cleveland

The push to register new voters is taking many forms.
A new group called the Ohio-Arab American leadership council is urging Arab Americans here to make sure they vote.
Also carrying that message: Mayor Jane Campbell and Congressman Dennis Kucinich.
There are about 185,000 Arab Americans in Ohio and they’re concerned about more than Iraq and the Middle East. They also care about jobs, health care and schools.
“We are an important part of the body of politics and we have and important role to play,” said Dr. James Zogby of the Arab American Institute. One of the best ways to play that role is to organize your vote and get it out.”
Zogby is the brother of the noted pollster.
A new poll shows John Kerry losing ground among Arab Americans.
In 3-months, support has dropped from 30-percent to 15-percent.
