Today on Viewpoint

This afternoon on “Viewpoint with James Zogby”—Karen AbuZayd, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA); Aram Haparian, Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of America; a delegation from Mossawa Center, a non-profit NGO that works to promote equality for the Arab-Palestinians citizens of Israel; and comedian and actor Maz Jobrani.

Dr. Zogby will discuss UNRWA’s mission with Ms. AbuZayd, and outline the current situation in Gaza. The delegation from Mossawa Center will talk about the current status of Arab-Palestinian citizens in Israel. The Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day is April 24th; Mr. Haparian will focus on Armenian Americans and the Armenian Genocide. Comedian Maz Jobrani will talk about his current tour.

Because of the Kahlil Gibran “Spirit of Humanity” Awards Gala on April 23rd, 2009, Viewpoint will be taped earlier in the afternoon. “Viewpoint” airs on Abu Dhabi TV and Link TV on Thursdays at 6 p.m. EST; Link TV is available in the U.S. on the DIRECTV and DISH Network satellite TV services. The show is also rebroadcast on MHz and several public broadcasting stations in the U.S.
