AAI President James Zogby to Discuss "Yalla Vote '08" Campaign in Anaheim on Saturday, March 1

AAI President Kick Off California Effort of National Campaign at ACCESS California Services

WASHINGTON – Feb. 28, 2008 – Arab American Institute (AAI) President James Zogby will kick off AAI’s “Our Voice, Our Future: Yalla Vote ‘08” California campaign at a reception and discussion in Anaheim on Saturday, March 1. The campaign, a project of AAI, has been endorsed by over 40 other Arab American organizations nationwide, including event host ACCESS California. “Yalla Vote ‘08” aims to help Arab Americans become involved in the presidential and local campaigns and to raise issues of importance to the Arab American community with the presidential candidates.

Dr. Zogby will discuss how Arab Americans can become politically involved on both the local and national levels. He will speak about AAI’s National Petition, which is designed to communicate a clear and succinct Arab American agenda to the eventual Democratic and Republican presidential nominees. AAI will present the petition and accompanying signatures to both nominees at their parties’ conventions.
