Samoa Ends Bar to Arab Entry

WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 – American Samoa today rescinded a security alert, issued in August, that prohibited entry “to any individual of Middle Eastern descent.”
The move came hours after Representative Nick J. Rahall II, Democrat of West Virginia, complained that because he is of Lebanese descent, he would be barred from the territory, a cluster of Pacific islands.
