Join us for our 2017 Arab American Leadership Days on Capitol Hill as we continue to meet the challenges that bigotry, inflammatory rhetoric and an increase in hate crimes have brought. Our days of action are hosted in partnership with the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC), and Network of Arab American Professionals (NAAP).
Arab American Leadership Days on April 27 and 28 will not only bring activists together from across the country to share the strategies they're successfully using at both the local and national levels, but will also allow us to send a clear signal that our community stands together for justice.
To help advance our advocacy, we're convening a panel of experts on April 27 to discuss and analyze some of the policy issues impacting our community prior to our meeting with congressional representatives. The panel will address a variety of issues including watch-listing, surveillance reform, “Countering Violent Extremism” (CVE) programming, the Muslim Ban, ban on refugee resettlement and other Immigration Executive Orders, Hate Crimes and First Amendment speech as it relates to advocacy for Palestine.
