2012 Presidential Candidates: Newt Gingrich
Newt Gingrich has served as a Republican representative of Georgia and as the Speaker of the House. If elected, Gingrich vows to stop the 2013 tax increases, implement an optional flat tax of 15%, and repeal “ObamaCare.” Gingrich believes that children should be allowed to work at an earlier age, and has suggested as an example that those from lower-income homes can even work as school janitors to earn some money. He has stated that we are at war with “radical Islamism, a belief system adhered to by a small minority of Muslims but nonetheless a powerful and organized ideology within Islamic thought.” He supports Israel’s blockade of Gaza, and denies the existence of Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.
