Boston Town Hall: Racial Profiling & Immigration Enforcement (AAI Event)

Please join the Arab American Institute for a town hall on racial profiling and immigration enforcement on Saturday, February 4th at Boston University. Hear from local experts who will discuss the implications of racial profiling of the Arab American community in Massachusetts and the ways in which you can make a difference.

Ashraf Hegazy will be moderating the discussion. Ashraf is the Co-Chair of the Somerville Human Rights Commission, a longtime member of AAI's National Policy Council, and the former Executive Director of the Dubai Initiative at Harvard University.

Speakers include:

Susan Akram, a Clinical Professor of Law at Boston University and member of the Board of Directors for the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts.

Shannon Erwin, the State Policy Director for the MIRA Coalition (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition). Outside of MIRA, Shannon serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Muslim Bar Association.
