There are still many spaces to participate in this service project; however, they are not infinite. Join now and tell you friends and family about this great event. Got any questions or comments? Please feel free to email our AmeriCorps member Paul at pbrown@aaiusa.org. Hope to see you all there!
In 2003, congress passed the “Serve America Act”, part of which designated September 11 as a day of Service and Remembrance. In 2009, as part of his United We Serve initiative, President Obama made 9/11 Day of Remembrance a permanent service day. This year AAI and NAAP-DC are joining forces for 9/11 Day of Remembrance and collaborating with Greater DC Cares to give back to the community in honor of this day of service.
