NVRD_blog.jpgSeptember 22nd, marks National Voter Registration Day. Hundreds of thousands of people across the country are taking to the streets, their community centers, places of worship, and college campuses, encouraging fellow citizens to register to vote. On National Voter Registration Day Americans celebrate the efforts of many over the decades on behalf of so many that had to fight for their right to vote. We at AAI have been working with students and young professionals across the country to set up booths and tables on this exciting day.

Stocked up with Yalla Vote t-shirts, voter registration forms, and informational pamphlets, young Arab Americans in San Diego, Ann Arbor, Gainesville, Washington DC and many other cities across the United States are encouraging people in their communities to

practice their civic duty and register to vote.  Our own staff and interns reached out to professionals in downtown Washington DC to encourage them to register to vote. To follow what our members are doing across the country today, check out the twitter hashtag #YallaVote or use #CelebrateNVRD to see other National Voter Registration Day posts and pictures.
