Tips for Creating Your YouTube Video
- Be original—choose your own approach.
- Be personal—your perspective is important.
- Choose your focus—you can address one or all of the candidates.
- Keep it quick—your question should be less than 30 seconds (and, in the language of your choice).
- Make it look good—speak loudly and keep that camera steady.
- Provide context—in your question or video description, include your name & hometown.
Submit Your Video to YouTube
- Create a YouTube account by visiting http://www.youtube.com/signup.
- Upload your video by clicking "Upload Videos" in the top right-hand corner of the YouTube Presidential Debate page at: http://www.youtube.com/contest/DemocraticDebate.
- Make sure to label your video with key words that include "Middle East peace."
Spread the Word!
- Tell us about your video! Make sure you send us a link to your video by emailing us at aaimedia@aaiusa.org. We’ll post selected videos here on our website.
- Ask your friends to create a video as well – the most people submit direct questions asking the candidates about their plans for peace in the Middle East, the more likely we’ll hear the presidential hopefuls publically address these questions.
