Palestine
40 Years Later
Posted on Wednesday June 6, 2007
Forty years of pain and sorrow,
Forty years, and we are still praying for a difference tomorrow;
We are still under occupation,
And the result is resentment and temptation;
How can there be peace?
When the confiscation and occupation will not cease;
My people are still dying,
There is pain and sorrow and no end for the crying;
The means to a peace is so clear,
The Palestinian’s land to them is so dear,
There must be an end to discrimination, murder and fear;
The Palestinians need their own state,
For years there has been talk,
but nothing to this date;
Stop occupation, stop discrimination, and stop the building of the wall,
Please someone help us, please make the call;
Equality, justice, self-determination, love and laughter,
This is all that is needed for peace ever after.
