Immigration Reform: Don't Replace Old Problems with New Ones
Posted on Monday May 21, 2007
Over the next week, AAI will closely be monitoring the Senate and its debate over comprehensive immigration reform. Key senators recently announced that they’ve reached a bipartisan agreement and will soon be presenting a reform package to the floor.
AAI supports the comprehensive reform of our broken immigration system and urge Congress not to replace old problems with new ones. Immigration legislation must reflect American values by preserving family ties and due process and ensuring judicial review while securing our borders.
Your voice will be needed to press Congress to move forward, not backwards, on immigration reform. Check back soon for action alerts and more detailed information!
