AAI Signs onto Letter Expressing Support for the Genocide Accountability Act

AAI has joined a dozen other organizations in signing a letter to Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Tom Coburn (R-OK), the Chair and Ranking Member of the Senate Subcommittee on Human Rights, to express its strong support for the Genocide Accountability Act.

The letter urges the senators to support the legislation, which would “enable the United States to lead the world in bringing perpetrators of the most serious human rights crimes [such as that in Rwanda and now Darfur] to justice.”

Other co-signors include the Save Darfur Coalition, Africa Action, the American Jewish World Service and Human Rights Watch.
