Emergency Summit on the Middle East Crisis

Thanks to the hundreds of Arab Americans who have responded to our call for action—around 100 leaders from 13 states will be joining us in Washington, DC on Wednesday, July 19 and Arab Americans in over 20 districts will meet with their Representatives and Congressional staff.

As Arab Americans, it is vital that elected officials and policy makers hear our concerns.

If you can’t travel to Washington, you can still make your voice heard!

1. On Friday, July 21, Arab Americans throughout the country will hold emergency meetings with their members of Congress and congressional staff in their home districts. For more information on setting up a meeting with your representative, contact Jason Assir at (202) 429-9210 ext. 28 or jassir@aaiusa.org

2. Contact your members of Congress, the President, and Secretary Rice. Complete AAI’s quick action alerts here.

3. Help us put a face to the suffering of Arab Americans. AAI continues to collect information on Americans trapped in Lebanon and Palestine. If you or a family member of relative are trapped, please complete the following information form and send to rabouchedid@aaiusa.org. Please include pictures and a brief paragraph about their situation. We will share this information with the State Department to facilitate evacuation as well as media to humanize the suffering of American citizens.

We will continue to send out updates on the situation in Lebanon and Palestine, including evacuation plans for American citizens and more opportunities for action in your local communities.
