Watch and Comment: Chuck Hagel Confirmation Hearing

Today, Senator Chuck Hagel undergoes a nomination hearing held by the Senate Armed services Committee. Though Hagel is expected to ultimately be confirmed, he is sure to face some opposition in the form of verbal grilling from Republicans and Democrats alike, especially with regard to his views on Israel, Iran, and defense spending cuts.

In our opinion, Hagel is the right man for the job. His vision for the U.S. armed services more compatible with President Obama's world view, and will also make possible a dramatic departure from the foreign policy that neo-conservatives have promoted and maintained for the past decade.
