Marylanders Meet

On Sunday, Yvonne Wall (AAI member and Treasurer of the Maryland Arab American Committee (MAAC)) and Dr. Mounzer Sleiman (Vice-Chair of the National Council of Arab Americans (NCA)) arranged an Arab American Town Hall Meeting with Maryland U.S. Senate Candidate Kevin Zeese. About 25 Arab Americans gathered in Bethesda to hear and discuss Zeese’s views on Israel/Palestine, “The Corporate-U.S. Takeover of the Iraq Economy”, 9/ 11, and the two-party system. Zeese has the Libertarian Party nomination, and is seeking the Green and Populist Party nominations as well.

Showing their interest in the Arab American vote, representatives of the Hugh Bailey for Montgomery County Council and Ike Leggett for Montgomery County Executive also stopped by to distribute their campaign flyers.
