In Memory of Marwan Burgan

AAI lost a friend and longtime member on March 5th. Virginia community leader and activist Marwan Burgan inspired us with his passion for political engagement and advocacy, one that never diminished—even in the face of the cancer that ended his life. Marwan’s tenacity and love of political life was contagious, and he will be deeply missed. Our condolences to his family in Jordan where Marwan will be laid to rest.

Mason District Supervisor Penny Gross and staff will be hosting a remembrance of Marwan Burgan at the Mason District Governmental Center, 6507 Columbia Pike in Annandale, Thursday, March 19, 2009, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
