The Arab American Institute is a non-partisan organization: we represent Arab Americans of all political stripes, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green, Libertarian, et al. We’re proud that there is even an Arab American running for president on the Independent ticket.

When Al Hayat contacted us and invited us to submit the case for McCain and the case for Obama, we said yes. Our thanks to Congressman Boustany, an Arab American Republican, who wrote a strong op-ed for the newspaper about why he supports Senator McCain. Dr. James Zogby, as co-convener of the National Democratic Ethnic Coordinating Council and a delegate for Obama, weighed in with his thoughts on why he will be voting for Obama this year.
