Posted on Sunday October 15, 2006
The Working Group on Ancestry in the U.S. Census is a national coalition of ethnic organizations and researchers who came together first in 1995 to support the continuation of the ancestry question and other long form items on the 2000 Census. The AWG was reorganized in 2006 to promote the inclusion of the ancestry question on the short form in the 2010 census.
