“The bonds between Israel and the United States are unshakable.”

“I will travel to Israel on my first foreign trip. I will reaffirm as a vital national interest Israel’s existence as a Jewish state. I want the world to know that the bonds between Israel and the United States are unshakable. I want every country in the region that harbors aggressive designs against Israel to understand that their ambition is futile and that pursuing it will cost them dearly.”

“A nuclear-armed Iran is not only a threat to Israel, [but] to the entire world.”

“I would not meet with Ahmadinejad. He should be excluded from diplomatic society. He should be indicted for the crime of incitement to genocide under Article III of the Genocide Convention. Iran’s ayatollahs will not be permitted to obtain nuclear weapons on my watch. A nuclear-armed Iran is not only a threat to Israel, it is a threat to the entire world. Our friends must never fear that we will not stand by them in an hour of need. Our enemies should never doubt our resolve.”

“[Obama has] publicly proposed that Israel adopt indefensible borders.”

“No, over the past three years, President Obama has instead chastened Israel. In his inaugural address to the United Nations, the President chastised Israel, but said little about the thousands of Hamas rockets raining into its skies. He’s publicly proposed that Israel adopt indefensible borders. He’s insulted its Prime Minister. And he’s been timid and weak in the face of the existential threat of a nuclear Iran.”

“[Obama’s] actions have emboldened Palestinian hard-liners.”

“[Obama’s] actions have emboldened Palestinian hard-liners who now are poised to form a unity government with terrorist Hamas and feel they can bypass Israel at the bargaining table. President Obama has immeasurably set back the prospect of peace in the Middle East.”

“Our interest in the Middle East in Israel.”

“I think we do our national interests a disservice by jumping in too soon and taking up sides with people we don’t fully understand, Islamist groups, pan-Arab groups. Our interest in the Middle East is Israel. And our interest is to ensure that Israel—that Iran does not go nuclear.”

“My first foreign trip will be to Israel.”

“And the right course for Israel is to show that we care about Israel, that they are our friend, we’ll stick with them. If I’m president of the United States, my first trip—my first foreign trip will be to Israel to show the world we care about that country and that region.”

“[Israel is] quite capable of taking care of themselves.”

“Israel has 200, 300 nuclear missiles. And they can take care of themselves. Why should we commit—we don’t even have a treaty with Israel. Why do we have this automatic commitment that we’re going to send our kids and send our money endlessly to Israel? So I think they’re quite capable of taking care of themselves.”

“There is no Palestinian. This is Israeli land.”

“All the people that live in the West Bank are Israelis.  They are not Palestinians. There is no Palestinian. This is Israeli land…It was ground that was gained during war. Should we give Texas back to Mexico? Bottom line, it is legitimately Israeli country.”

“It’s time for us to have a…discussion about defunding the United Nations.”

“I think it’s time for this country to have a very real debate about foreign aid. Clearly there are places. As a matter of fact, I think it’s time for us to have a very serious discussion about defunding the United Nations. When you think about—when you think about the Palestinian Authority circumventing those Oslo Accords and going to New York to try to create the conflict and to have themselves approved as a state without going through the proper channels is a travesty. And I think it’s time not only to have that entire debate about all of our foreign aid, but in particular the U.N. Why are we funding that organization?”
