Blue Devils Play U.A.E. Basketball Team
Make sure to tune in today at 1:30pm EDT to watch Duke University’s Blue Devils play the United Arab Emirates national team, Al Wasl. The exhibition match is part of a goodwill tour dubbed the “Friendship Games,” which has also seen the Blue Devils play in Shanghai and Beijing. The trip was partly organized by Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, which has a regional office in Dubai.
According to Ahmed Al Sharif, Secretary General of the Dubai sports council, “We are thrilled to be hosting one of the most successful basketball teams in the world along with the legendary Coach K; it is a first in this region and most certainly an effective way to accelerate the development of basketball in Dubai and the UAE at large.”
