Great Event at Politics and Prose, West Coast is Next

Posted by Jim Zogby at 9:41 pm

Tonight was my reading at Politics and Prose. It's more than a bookstore. For decades now, its been the literary hub of this city. Condolezza Rice was supposed to be there today in the afternoon to talk about her new book, with me doing my book at night. She had to cancel so I had the day to myself.

It was a full house. Lots of friends and neighbors - most of whom have known me for 30 years, and have never heard me speak. It was so different than the Embassy event. The response was great - lots of nods of approval and lots of books sold. It's quite gratifying to see that folks get it. They know we need to better understand the Arab World.

Highlight of the day: Queen Noor's tweet. She has been such a wonderful supporter!  And for those of you who want to follow the book on Twitter, there is now a tag #ArabVoices.

Sunday: the West Coast.
