10 Days Out: Lace up Your Sneakers
The election is around the corner, so throw on those cross trainers because you’re going to need comfortable shoes. Arab Americans are out and about this weekend, canvassing for their local, state and presidential candidates’ campaigns, and you should be too. You can get your friends together, form a group, and volunteer at your local campaign headquarters.
There is perhaps no better way to help your candidate out, engage the community and discuss the important issues in this election than to go door to door canvassing.
Click here to volunteer with the Obama campaign and here to volunteer with the Romney campaign. If you need any help in figuring out how to get involved locallywith any candidates running for other offices representing your state, let us know where you live and we will tell you who you need to get in contact with. When you do, let them know you’re Arab American.
Don’t forget to take pictures of yourselves canvassing and send them to us, because we to want to post those.
