Bachmann’s Muslim Brotherhood Charges Underscore Larger GOP Problem

Nearly everyone agrees that these letters went too far and many have likened Bachmann to Senator Joe McCarthy, seeking out the communist threat in the 1950s. But we rarely discuss how we got here, and what conditions exist - mainly within the Republican Party as Rollins warned - which led us to this point. Read More »

Santorum’s Partisan Take on Obama’s Iran Policy

According to Rick Santorum, Obama is so weak on the question of Iran that he’s practically encouraging them to develop nuclear weapons, yet so opportunistic and desperate to win the upcoming election that he just might bomb Iran.  Read More »

Florida’s In, But All Remaining Candidates Fight On

While the candidates performed in the expected order in Florida’s Republican Primary results, the wide gaps between them were a bit surprising. Romney won by a very comfortable margin, earning over 46% of the vote. Gingrich came in at second place with 31.9% of the vote. Santorum had a mere 13.4%, while Paul came in with a shabby 7%. Read More »

RNC Endorses One-State Solution (No Kidding)

The RNC thinks they just did Israel a favor by whitewashing the illegality of its occupation of the Palestinian territories, but failed to notice that they just demanded that all these Palestinians living under occupation be granted equal rights as Israelis. In effect, the RNC just endorsed the maximalist position of the most ardent supporters of Palestinian rights: the one-state/one-man/one-vote solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Read More »

Gov. Daniels to Address The Nation

The GOP has chosen Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, a public official we’ve praised for his principled stances and success as a public administrator, to deliver the party’s response to the President’s State of The Union address next Tuesday. Moving Backwards: Political Discourse in 2012

Just Two Degrees of Separation

Was Marianne Gingrich soliciting a $10 million bribe to get the House Speaker to lift Iraqi sanctions or was she just soliciting a donation on behalf of her former boss? And what kind of guy actively seeks a donation from a known arms dealer nicknamed “The Merchant of Death?” We’ll tell you… and you may not be so surprised. Read More »

Is Michele Bachmann a Compulsive Liar or Just Clueless?

So no longer is she only alleging that Iran said things they actually didn’t, but now we know “without a shadow of doubt” that the attack will happen, unless we do something about it. That’s the sort of lying that makes the Iraq war propaganda of Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld seem like honest straight-talk by comparison. Read More »
