Poll Release: Arab and Muslim Attitudes toward Iran

This week, AAI president Jim Zogby and Hussein Ibish, a senior fellow at the American Task Force on Palestine, each wrote articles that appeared on “Open Zion,” a blog edited by Peter Beinart on The Daily Beast. AAI President Jim Zogby joined CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Kate Bolduan in the Situation Room last night to discuss a wide range of Middle East foreign policy issues as well as AAI’s recent poll on the Arab American vote in 2012. Dr. Zogby was joined by Danielle Pletka, vice president of foreign and defense policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute. AAI Poll: U.S. Favorable Attitudes Toward Egypt at 33%

For the first time in two decades, U.S. opinion toward Egypt is in sharp decline with an overall favorability of 33%, according to a poll released by the Arab American Institute today. In July 2011, AAI polling showed 5% of Egyptians held a favorable view of the U.S. The poll released today was conducted by JZ Analytics for NYU Abu Dhabi in January 2012, and surveyed 997 Americans nationwide.
