In California, Johnny Khamis narrowly won a seat on the San Jose City Council over Robert Braunstein. The Michigan State University Board of Trustees election was another close race, but on Wednesday afternoon the final results showed Arab American Brian Mosallam in second place, claiming a seat on the board. Tonight, President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney will meet for the final debate of this election season to discuss foreign policy issues. Tonight’s debate, moderated by Bob Schieffer of CBS, will take place in Boca Raton, Florida and will air at 9:00pm Eastern Time. The debate could make a key difference in a neck-and-neck race, as the national polls show both candidates in a statistical tie. Obama does maintain a slight swing-state edge, however, with a 16 point lead in the Electoral College. Here are some stories to watch for. Read More »

Tonight President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney will face off for a town hall debate at Hofstra University. The debate will be moderated by CNN’s Candy Crowley and will air at 9pm Eastern Time. While the Vice Presidential debate did not change the overall status of the polls, Biden’s performance did manage to halt the Obama campaign’s downward slide. Heading into the debate tonight, Romney has a slight edge in the national polls, but Obama maintains his swing state advantage with a 50 point Electoral College spread. There were many potential headline grabbers in Wednesday’s speaker lineup, from employees of Bain –acquired companies who lost their jobs to women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke. Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren had a distinct need to grab headlines to garner an advantage in her close Senate race against Scott Brown.
