Former AAI Field Director Named to Top Post in Michigan Young Democrats
Posted on Tuesday August 14, 2007
Kenwah Dabaja, AAI’s former Michigan Field Director, was recently appointed regional director for the Michigan Young Democrats (MYD) in the state’s 13th, 14th and 15th congressional districts. In her voluntary post, Dabaja will be responsible for membership recruitment, outreach and development in the three districts, represented by key Democratic members of congress: Carolyn Kilpatrick, John Conyers and John Dingell.
Dabaja, currently a policy analyst for the Michigan House of Representatives Democratic Policy Office, has also clerked for the Wayne County Corporation Counsel and worked for Dingell on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Former MYD President William Isaac Robinson had high praise for Dabaja: “She is a strong organizer and we as leaders of the Michigan Democratic Party are lucky to have her on our team. Her experience working with Wayne County and Congressman John Dingell adds strength and an important perspective to our youth movement.” Congratulations and good luck, Kenwah!
