On March 2, 2011, the Arab American Institute (AAI) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) will convene a briefing for congressional staffers entitled, Islamophobia: A Challenge to American Pluralism.  The briefing will look at the industry of Islamophobia examining both its impact on people and policy.  Prompted by Rep. Peter King's (R-NY) proposed hearings on "Muslim radicalization" in the American Muslim community, this briefing is designed to focus on the active role that Islamophobia plays in alienating and ostracizing the American Muslim community.
